Learn about the newest features in Windows 10




1. Return to past activities in your timeline


Get back to something you were doing recently by finding it in your timeline.

To open your timeline, select Task View on the taskbar, or press Windows logo key Tab. Scroll down until you find the thing you want to return to, and then click it to pick up right where you left off.

2. Bring the Microsoft experience to your phone


Open the Google Play Store app on your Android phone, then type Microsoft Launcher in the search box and install it. Once installed, you can get beautiful Bing wallpapers that refresh daily, sync your Office docs and calendar, and more.



3. Share a picture with a nearby device


Open Photos and select the picture you want to share. Select Share, then select the PC you want to share it to. On the other PC, select Save & Open when the notification appears.



4. Switch seamlessly from your phone to PC


Start browsing the web, writing emails, and using apps on your phone, then continue on your PC, instantly. Add your phone in Settings > Phone.

5. Add emoji from your keyboard


Express yourself however and wherever you want. Press Windows logo key + period (.) to open an emoji panel.



6. Switch seamlessly from your phone to PC


On the touch keyboard, select microphone. On a physical keyboard, press Windows logo key + H to dictate what’s on your mind.



7. Save time while you type


To see text suggestions while you type, select Start > Settings > Devices > Typing > Hardware keyboard > Show text suggestions as I type.


8. Stay focused with focus assist


Hide distractions while you work. Turn on focus assist to send notifications directly to action center. Select action center on the taskbar > focus assist.



9. Pin sites you use frequently


Get to websites from the taskbar. In Microsoft Edge, open a site, select Settings and more > Pin this page to the taskbar.
